World Photography Day: Mayfield Lavender Fields

Mayfield Lavender fields have become a firm instagram favourite location, being just a short drive out of London.

Lavender fields are not something new which were invented overnight but they have become a popular due to the instagram effect. It was a gorgeous summer’s day when we visited the Mayfield Lavender Farm in South London and despite the heat and the wind (!), it was the most amazing purple sight to behold.  The fields are a purple paradise and the moment we parked up the car, I went running off to enjoy them.

Drawing the crowds in, the field were already busy despite only being open for a half hour. There were spots for visitors to take photos including a red phone box and cutouts of Harry and Meghan. I was enthralled with the fields themselves, they smelt incredible and the purple of the flowers really made you feel like you are in a fairytale.

As it is World Photography Day, I thought I would share some of these gorgeous photos with you of the Mayfield Lavender Farm. They are a must see and the accompanying cafe make it all the more charming. I enjoyed their Lavender Scones whilst people watching and taking in the sights and smells of the purple beautifulness.

The Mayfield Lavender Farms are a must see and you definitely need to go for a visit and see for yourself. They make a great day out and are worth checking out. There is an entry fee of £2 per person and there is even a cafe to chill out at, once your feet get tired of walking around the fields.

The Mayfield Lavender Farms can be be found here

I hope you enjoyed this post, don’t forget to give my blog a follow if you did,

It indeed looks like something from a fairytale! These pictures are absolutely gorgeous and I’m now desperately searching on Google Maps for a lavender field in my neighbourhood. 😉
