Visit to Cornwall: The Eden Project

I was beyond excited to visit The Eden Project with my better half and what better to do it then on my birthday trip away. For those of you who don’t know, the Eden Project is a series of biomes which house plants from all around the world and the project is located in an old Kaolinite pit. The size of the project is huge and the purpose of the project is to act as a source of environmental education, teaching its visitors all about conserving their local environment and about the interdependence of plants and humans.

It is truly outstanding how beautiful this place is. There are three biomes: The Tropical, The Mediterranean and The Outdoor. The Tropical is my favourite because it truly does give you the feeling that you are wandering through a tropical rainforest. High above, suspended from the ceiling of the biome, there is a platform which you can walk up to and look down on the Tropical rainforest. It is beautiful and you can clearly see all the hard work that has gone into making this the Garden of Eden on Earth.
