Valentines Day outfit ideas

Valentine’s Day is the first excuse of the year to dress up and get dolled up to celebrate. Here are a few Valentine’s Day outfit ideas to wear in the UK.

After the festive season, Valentine’s Day is the first big event of the year to dress up for and break the style rut that the doom and gloom of January can bring. So put the sweatpants, beanies and stained tees away and let’s dress up, even if it is just for ourselves. You don’t have to celebrate Valentine’s with a romantic partner, you can use it as excuse to catch up with your BFF or your loved ones.

This year, Chicwish have kindly gifted me some incredible outfits to show off my top 5 outfits that you could wear on Valentine’s Day in the UK. Chicwish are a great retailer who create the most princess like outfits, bringing feminine clothes with a little bit of fairytale into daily life. I particularly love their dresses and skirts, usually in a pastel colour palette, perfect to wear everyday. All their clothes are well cut to hug your curves in the best way. I would highly recommend them!

So let’s face it, it is always freezing in February so I have kept that in mind for your Valentine’s outfits. Whether you want to go all out in the biggest tulle skirts or tone it down in a knitted dress, I have kept those options in mind.

Lace dress

1. The Lace Dress

You can never go wrong with lace for Valentine’s Day. It allows for a bit of show and tell and you can still wear your thermals underneath whilst looking fabulous for your big night out. I love this dress, the wine red colour makes it pop and the design details really makes it stand out.

Tulle skirt

2. The Tulle skirt

Tulle is big news in fashion this year. The revival of Sex and the City has meant that it has filtered into fashion in a big way this year. I love this skirt, the colour fade makes it extra special and you can team it up with a knitted top and still look like you have made an effort.

Knitted dress

3. The knitted dress

Knitted dress are great for Valentine’s and they suit all body types, the curvier the better. I love the pastel colour of this dress and how it looks like you have made effort, when all you have done is put a dress on. You can team it with knee high boots or the killer heels.

Heart print cardigan

4. The Valentine’s cardi

Cardigans are trending this year and there is no reason why you can’t wear them for Valentine’s Day. Team them up with a tulle skirt and a lace bralet and you can look sexy whilst bringing a bit of girliness for your big day.

Black bow knitted top

5. Knitted tops

A big trend for this year are knitted tops with embellishments and something extra. I love the fact that these knitted jumpers are becoming a bit more mainstream, and they can make a plain outfit look like you have made a real effort. I love the fluted sleeves on this top and the bow around the neck makes it extra special.

I hope you liked these ideas for your Valentine’s Day outfits. I would like to thank Chicwish for gifted these beautiful outfits, they look absolutely amazing.

Let me know what you think,
