A few weeks ago, i was invited to go on a tour of London with Hype App which is a free app that people can download to go on quirky tours of London. I love to discover the backstreets of London in my spare time and find new places to eat in and visit.
So one sunny Sunday afternoon, i met up with a group of people at Kingly Court, just off Carnaby Street with Beth, our tour guide. She was lovely and explained about the history of the area and lead us upstairs in Kingly Court to get some cocktails at The Life Goddess. The decor at The Life Goddess was set up to represent a Greek home and it was very welcoming with an open plan kitchen and a bar area. Sadly they didn’t do alcohol free cocktails so i never got to taste them but the ambience of the place was very homely.

Next we were taken to try out some gourmet doughnuts at The Crosstown Doughnut and Coffee Bar. These were probably the best doughnuts i have ever tasted and i even bought a Truffle doughnut as a result. All the doughnuts come in some quirky flavours but what is great about them is that they are made fresh each day at the cafe and then served to customers.
Last stop for me was La GelatIeria near Covent Garden which did some deliciously homemade ice cream. What i thought was really interesting was the fact that you could peer downstairs into their kitchen where they make the ice cream on site and then sell them to customers.
I had a fantastic time on the tour of Soho and it is a great way to spend an afternoon in London. I really liked the fact that you could discovered different parts of London in such a luxurious way with people who were as like minded as myself.
Download the app, Hype App if you want to join a tour in the future.
