If you follow me on Instagram, you may know that I went on a little staycation to the Peak District last month which I thought I would share with you. I vlogged the entire trip and the video can be found below so please do have a watch.
We went up to the Heights of Abraham which gave us some fantastic views of the Peak District. We also went on a tour of the caverns and found out about mining in the early days of the Peak District.
We stayed in Bakewell for the duration of our visit. Luckily it was the carnival weekend for the town so we got to see the procession go through the centre of town as well the rather hilarious wheelbarrow race.
Last stop for us was Chatsworth House where we wandered through the historical house and saw the amazing Alexander McQueen fashion exhibition on display in their main hall. We also wandered around the grounds, via tractor as well as on foot and marvelled at their gravity fuelled fountain that is at the front of the main house.
