The CFDA Fashion Awards – Looks rocking the red carpet

The CFDA Fashion Awards are held each year in America and they celebrate the contributions to American fashion from all areas of the industry. This includes everything from the fashion designers who make the clothes to the fashion journalists who write about their magnificent creations. Here are some of my favourite looks this year – before i start, just a quick reminder that none of the pictures are my own.

Gigi Hadid in Michael Kors

Jumpsuits are having a fashion moment and i just love how varied this can be. Now this jumpsuit on anyone other than Gigi Hadid would have given anyone ‘Saturday Night Fever’ flashbacks but Gigi makes it work. With her supermodel looks, it looks classy and fashion forward, all at the same time.

Karlie Kloss in DVF

Karlie is one person who i am loving at the moment. She is simply glowing every time i see her and she comes across as such a girl’s girl. Though i wouldn’t personally be seen wearing this dress, i do love the way it sits on Karlie and she makes this print work for her.

Katie Holmes

Post -Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes has been finding her fashion feet lately and she does make simplicity look very old school glamour. I love the Hollywood style silk gown she chose for this event, paired with some diamond earrings and a diamond bracelet. The halterneck shows off her shoulders perfectly, she works what she has and i, for one, like it.

Nina Dobrev in Lela Rose

Now hear me out on this one as it isn’t one of my absolute favourites from the CFDA Awards but somehow Nina Dobrev manages to make it look youthful and fresh. I like the fun and feathery maxi skirt teamed up with the glittery crop top and her hair and make up is perfection, if nothing else appeals to you.

Vanessa Hudgens in Sachin & Babi Noir

Wow, just wow. Vanessa Hudgens has hit a high fashion note with me, with this fantastic midnight blue dress. I love the way the waterfall hemline sits on the flare of the dress, it is conservative yet so elegant. The high street needs to get sewing a dupe for me on this one, i want it!

Victoria Beckham in her own design

VB never gets it wrong when it comes to the red carpet and this one is no different. I love the satin drapey blouse paired with this structured maxi skirt combination. Her hair and make up is kept simple and i do like the contrast with her glam outfit. Love this look and i would expect no less from this fashion queen.

I hope you liked this post and don’t forget to give me a like or follow if you did 🙂
