The Body Shop launched their Christmas collection in a new sensory experience, the Enchanted Forest inviting people to have a hands on experience with their beauty products.
The Body Shop have taken sensory experiences with their enchanted forest encouraging visitors to interact with their products and catch some well deserved me time. In early November, I went along to the pop up to see what The Body Shop was offering up for Christmas. Curated by The Body Shop alongside The Woodland Trust, the pop offered opportunities to relax as well as find out more about the ethical stance of the brand.
On arrival, I was guided to their beauty bar where they were offering free makeovers as well as facials. I had a touch up on my makeup using products by The Body Shop including their matte foundations and new Christmas collection lipsticks. The girls were lovely and really patient, considering the huge amount of people they had to work with.
I wandered through the ‘forest’ to try out their oculus experience which took you into an enchanted forest and you instantly relaxed. The open space and woody forest were so realistic that I almost forgot where I was.
As part of the event, I also attended a talk hosted by skin care guru Sali Hughes with a panel including author Chidera Eggerue (aka The Slumflower) and The Body Shop’s International R&D Director Neil Watson and my favourite skincare queen Nadine Baggott. They talked about the essentials of skincare, by the way that is a good hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and an anti-oxidant and that it doesn’t matter about the brand of the skincare. It is more about the actual ingredients and we should be keeping them in mind when buying facial skincare. They also warned against overstripping skin and using gentle cleansers.
It was a great event and revealed so much about skincare to me and mde me rethink my whole routine. I had a great time at the event and would love to attend more Body Shop events in the future.
I hope you enjoyed this post, don’t forget to give my blog a follow if you did,
