Luxury means different things to different people. In the blogging world, luxury can often stretch into the thousands and there has been a lot of debate in the blogosphere about whether bloggers should be coming across as self-indulgent and selfish whilst others suffer. Luxury to me is all about being able to pamper yourself and spoil yourself when you can. Who cares what you spend your money on when you have worked hard for every penny.
Luxury brand Inkerman.co.uk asked me write about what luxury meant to me and I jumped at the chance. I love luxurious gifts but it is not often financially possible. After years of wanting a Jo Malone perfume, I have finally bought myself one and I want to show it off as much as you can so be warned. I will sharing photos of it in pretty much every blog post and instagram post.
What is the best gift you have ever given?
The best gift I have ever been given has to be my white gold heart shaped necklace that my mum bought for me when I turned 16. It is still one of the most precious jewellery that I own and I wear it every day.
What is the most sentimental item you own?
The most sentimental items I own are a couple of silver anklets that my nan bought me when I was a baby. I can’t wear them on my ankles now so I wear them as bracelets and they remind me of my nan all the time.
What do you factors do you consider before investing in an luxury item?
For me it does come down to cost per wear. How often will I wear and use that item and will I always think as much of it as much as I do now. It has to be something I know I will treasure for years to come.
What are your top 5 favourite luxury items?
My top 5 luxury items are:
– Fragrance – I always invest in high end perfumes as I love the fact they last on my skin and give me an extra happy vibe when I spritz them.
– Skincare – I truly believe that investing in good skincare brands is really worth it as you will never be able to bring your skin back as you get older.
-Jewellery – I love jewellery and I do wear a lot of high street brands but I love having the odd diamond earring or white old item to make me feel a bit jazzed up for special occasions.
– Coats – I like to invest in quality coats as i don’t often get a new coat each year so when I do, I know I will love it for a long time.
-Bags – Now I am not the type to invest in a bag worth a thousand pounds but I do like to invest in an extra special bag once every couple of years. Luxury branded bags do last forever and are definitely worth the investment you put into them.
What is your dream gift?
My dream gift is the Classic Chanel Bag. It doesn’t matter how old I get, this is one gift I have wanted since the age of 12.
