There is no shortage of afternoon teas in London and each year, hotels and restaurants keep pushing up the bar. For Afternoon Tea Week, check out some of the best afternoon teas in London which I have been lucky to experience.
Afternoon Teas in London are definitely having a moment with every hotel and restaurant cashing in. Whether you want it themed by your favourite movie or traditional with fine china, there is an afternoon tea for everyone and here are some of my favourites.
1. Sketch, Mayfair
Based inside an 18th Century Townhouse, Sketch is a fun pink gallery but is anything but traditional. The walls are lined with quirky cartoons and the afternoon tea theme is changed on a regular basis. I love the Sketch Afternoon Tea, it is incredible and the setting only adds to the tea.
2. Beauty and the Beast Afternoon Tea, Townhouse Kensington
It took me months to get a reservation for the Beauty and the Beast Afternoon Tea at the Townhouse Kensington and it was worth every penny. I loved all the touches from the film with the rose and the themed desserts and the hotel was gorgeous as well.
3. Potions Room at Cutter and Squidge
I am huge Harry Potter fan and I was so excited when I found out that Cutter and Squidge were doing a Harry Potter inspired tea. I had a great time visiting the Potions class and trying out the magic inspired food. The desserts were heavenly and I felt like Hermione in a Harry Potter movie the whole time I was there.
4. Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea at The Sanderson
I do love a good themed afternoon tea and the Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea at The Sanderson is one of the best there is. From the crockery to the restaurant set up, the Alice in Wonderland theme is interlaced so beautifully throughout your time at The Sanderson. I loved the desserts and the themed teas and the setting made it all the better.
5. Afternoon Tea at The Ritz
The Ritz is the ultimate traditional afternoon tea and based in one of the most exclusive restaurants in London, it is one of the best places to have and experience afternoon tea. I enjoyed every moment at the hotel and every single part of the afternoon tea was delicious and the service was impeccable.
I love a good afternoon tea and for Afternoon Tea Week, I will be reviewing a new tea every day this week so make sure if you keep checking in. I hope you enjoyed this post, don’t forget to give my blog a follow.
