I have developed a bit of an obsession with one make up brand and i honestly don’t know how it happened or how it developed but i now own a lot of this brand. Charlotte Tilbury has captured my heart without knowing and it is turning into a bit of a problem.
Those of you who don’t know her, Charlotte Tilbury is a British make up artist who has been the make up artist to the stars and has worked with the likes of Mario Testino and models such as Kate Moss and Gisele Bundchen. She then bought out her own make up and skincare line in 2013 and has never looked back. Her make up line is just fantastic and i honestly think it is life changing. I have yet to come across a product from her line that i don’t like.
If a make up brand can’t do the base of my face right then i really don’t have faith with their other products – it is a make up rule for me. I first came across Charlotte Tilbury when decided to try out their foundation a whim. I was in Selfridges and literally stumbled on their huge counter which had the unique concept of selling the looks displayed in their photos. The Magic Foundation (£29.50) smells so good as you put it on and the formula is weightless. I don’t feel like i am wearing foundation when i wear this and you can build on it if you want to hide those breakout days. The Mini Miracle Eye Wand (£29) is literally the dream when i have had some late or sleepless nights. You put the eye cream on as part of your skincare, put your foundation on and then put on the light reflector on and say bye bye to those dark eye circles.
Last year, when highlighters were all the rage, i was getting so lost with the contouring techniques out there. One of the girls at the Tilbury counter were so nice and they explained how it worked and i was in awe of how healthy and glowing it made me look. Their Filmstar Bronze and Glow (£49) is so good, and it is dummy proof. I use this everyday, hence why it looks so grotty now, but it applies like a dream.
I was actually given this as a prize because i guessed a look correctly in one of their in store competitions. However, the Wonderglow Primer (£38.50) is so beautiful in the summer for those special occasions. It goes on so smoothly and gives an iridescent glow to any foundation. A well worthy purchase!
Both of these eye palettes have become my fail safe in my daily make up collection. It does the job for me. They come with simple instructions on how to apply them and they stay on all day. I love the fact that the shimmer is subtle and the glitter doesn’t drop down the cheek throughout the day too.
I bought this Colour Chameleon Amber Haze (£19) on a whim as i was trying to find something new to add to my make up collection. The whole idea behind these eye pencils is to enhance your natural eye colour and i can’t even begin to tell you how many compliments i have received when i have worn this colour.
The Full Fat Lashes in Glossy Black £22 was one mascara that i kept seeing bloggers rave about so i felt like i had to go try it out. Once it was applied on me, i loved the volumising effect it had on my lashes, making them long and luscious. They have actually launched their new mascara Legendary Lashes which i can’t wait to try out, once this one finishes.
The newest addition to my Charlotte Tilbury collection is this beautiful lipstick Matte Revolution in Night Crimson (£23). I fell in love with this shade as soon as i tried it on and it is so on trend, a dark maroon colour which lasts well into the end of the day.
As you can tell, i am in love with Charlotte Tilbury. As all her products are tried and tested, they do work and i have honestly had THE best customer service at all their counters and their boutique in Covent Garden. The girls are always so honest about the products and whether they suit my skin tone and happy to give sneak peeks into their new launches. The next thing i really want to try is their skin care, Legendary Lashes Mascara and also their new Instant Look palette which launches soon.
