#Blogmas Day 12: Hair Care // Looking after long hair in winter

The one thing i probably get asked the most by family and friends is how i take care of my long hair during the winter months. As the seasons change, my hair very quickly changes with it and becomes a lot harder to handle. During the spring/summer months my hair can be rather flat and greasy at the roots so i often need to use products which are volumising and light on my hair. In the autumn/winter, my hair feels alot drier with my dry ends becoming more prone to breakage and also to frizziness.

So i thought i would share with you the products that i have been loving this winter to keep my hair looking happy and healthy.

Vatika Black Seed Deep Conditioning Hair Mask (above) £8.89

I have so many memories of Vatika from my childhood and i still use Vatika Coconut Hair Oil to this day. When i bumped into the Vatika stall at the Bloggers Ball, i discovered that they also have a hair care range so i was keen to try out this hair mask. When you open the rather large hair mask tub, it is green and rather thick in consistency, do not let this put you off. Once you apply it, leave it in for 30 minutes and then rinse out. I usually apply it on wet hair after i have cleaned a couple of times a week and it really does help with the condition of my hair. You need to use it  more than once a week though, in order for it to have a real difference.

Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo and Conditioner

I have been a hard core Aussie hair care fan since the age of 15 and it never lets me down. I usually opt for the Volume range in the summer and then the Miracle Moist range in the winter. I love this stuff and it leaves my hair feeling soft, shiny and manageable.

Schwarzkopf got2b Oil-licious Tame & Shine Styling Oil

This styling oil from Schwarzkopf styling oil has been a new addition to my haircare routine but i love it. The consistency of it is great as it hydrates my hair immediately without feeling greasy and it has no scent. It really calms down the frizziness of the surface of my hair and even helps with the hair static i am prone to this time of year.

Schwarzkopf got2b Oil-licious Weightless Dry Oil Mist

I have never considered using a Dry Oil Mist until recently when i saw this in a YouTube tutorial. This has a lovely light consistency but you have to be careful using it as it can become too oily if you use too much of it. Spray in small bursts and only on the parts of your hair that really need it.

Umberto Giannini Over Indulge Nourishing Hair Mask

I am not sure how i discovered this Umberto Giannini hair mask and it is lovely. I use this mask usually on my pamper nights on Sundays and it really does absorb into my hair very well. I use this on dry hair before washing and my hair comes out so bouncy as a result.

I hope you enjoyed this post, don’t forget to give me a like or a follow if you did,
