I have been on a bit of a quest to find a BB Cream that works like a foundation but also moisturises and keeps my skin hydrated. I know I am asking for a lot so I wasn’t expecting to find it so soon. As my acne cleared up with the treatment I am on, I wanted something to wear that would blur out my blemishes yet keep my skin looking matte and clear. I find some BB creams quite cakey and they often start to disappear as the day goes on, so i knew this would be a difficult mission. That was until the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue came into my life.
I got talking to one of my blogger friends who suggested i try this and see what i thought. The first thing that struck me was the creme gel formula, it was not as heavy as a moisturiser and not as light as a moisturiser. It was light yet still very pigmented too.
It is a very good tinted moisturiser. It is hydrating and leaves a dewy healthy finish to tired looking skin as well as staying matte around the all-important T zones and you don’t need to use much. I took out around a 5 pence sized amount and it was more than enough for my face and i applied it with a brush, just like i would my foundation. The great thing about this product is that it behaves like foundation so you can build it up if you want to, it blends into the nooks and crannies and you don’t have to wait for it to dry or soak in.
bareMinerals have discovered the secret behind a good tinted moisturiser and i am impressed. I have been using this non-stop as my base when i can’t be bothered to cake on foundation and i really like it. It is perfect for the warmer days (when they arrive in the UK) and as it has spf, it ticks that box neatly too.
bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Gel Cream is £26 at Boots.com
