Aubaine London brunch review

Aubaine in London is the underdog of brunches in the city. Brunch is one of my favourite things to do in London, so when I got the chance to have a taste Aubaine’s Mayfair branch, I had to give it a go. When I entered Aubaine, I was struck by the decor – rustic vintage and had a real homely feel. We were seated and given our menus.

We first ordered our drinks. It was a particularly windy day in London when I visited so I opted for the lemon and ginger herbal tea to warm me up, whilst I looked through the menu and debated my food choices.

I opted for the sweetcorn soup from the specials menu, whilst Jess from The Wildflower HQ had the waffles with bacon and egg. The soup was creamy and delicious and the addition of popcorn as a topper was a surprise addition. I ate it quickly and then snacked on sweet potato fries as we chatted over our brunch. The food was so good that we didn’t even realise that we had eaten every bite.

Aubaine is a great place for brunch and I would highly recommend it. I don’t know why more people don’t talk about it. The food was well prepared and though simple, really gave us the feeling of having a taste of something special.
