Covent Garden has become the beauty capital of London and in September, they held a Beautython with beauty events happening all over the area.
Covent Garden held its first ever Beautython event, a day dedicated to beauty lovers with all of its beauty selling shops offering events for customers to get involved in. In September, I went along to Beautython to find out what the event was about and see what the stores were up to. In the last two years, Covent Garden’s beauty quarter has grown to include the likes of Urban Decay, NARS, Charlotte Tilbury, Chanel, Dior and many others. Beauty buying is not restricted to department stores, it is more than that and it is great that Covent Garden is taking the beauty experience to another level.
Each store had various stalls and installations around Covent Garden. diptyque was offering personal fragrance fittings and also had their gorgeous fragrances on the stall so you could try them out. They smelt incredible and I wanted to buy them all on the spot.
Jo Malone is one of my favourite stores in Covent Garden, it is so beautifully decorated and the staff are incredible. They were offering free hand and arm massages which felt heavenly and their brand new incredible scents were on show too. My personal favourite was English Oak and Hazelnut which is musky and heavy and made me feel like I was heading into Autumn in a blanket.
Floral Street also had a stall in the centre of Covent Garden and the minute I smelt one of their fragrances, I wanted to smell them all. Floral Street has only been in the UK since the last nine months and it already creating waves in the beauty world. The brand is trying to bring fragrance to the modern day woman, helping them create a wardrobe of smells that represent the many facets of being a woman.
Molton Brown was also showing off their wares during Beautython. It has been ages since I have been in a Molton Brown store and I was surprised by the wide range of products that they now do. Not only do they produce shower gels and shower oils, they also create high quality fragrances too. Their new range is Jasmine and Sunrose smells incredible, I bought their shower gel in heartbeat and honestly I have never looked forward to showertime more.
I had a great time at Beautython and it is great to see Covent Garden evolving and putting customer experience at the centre of their experience. If you haven’t been to Covent Garden recently, you have to go and check all the beauty and make up stores and have a real play with their products.
