Now I am very well aware that I have reviewed Elan Cafe on here but I had to review it without the rose coloured glasses again and see what it was like at breakfast. On a very early morning, I headed to the Elan cafe for breakfast and enjoying it in a more relaxed way. It was an absolute joy to be able to get into the cafe without the queues which are permanently there.
The first thing you see when you walk into the South Kensington branch is the beautiful dessert display. They look like works of art with every cake and tart looking magical with fruits, chocolate and colours used to make them look even more instagram worthy than the restaurant itself.
When I walked in, I was immediately seated at the back of the cafe with the now famous flower wall. It still makes me so happy to see it in all its glory and the pink velour seats contrast perfectly against the floral backdrop. I ordered my food and proceeded to take a thousand photos whilst waiting for my food.
I ordered the hot chocolate and the sourdough toast with avocado and scrambled egg. The hot chocolate was creamy and milky and was the perfect way for me to start my day. The toast was hard but the toppings made a perfect accompaniment to the toast and it was delicious. I enjoyed every bite of my breakfast and the setting really was the cherry on top. Though this is a pricey breakfast, you forgive it because of the instagram goals setting that you get for it. Elan has got the formula right and I honestly cannot wait to go there again and I promise I will stop writing about it!
I hope you enjoyed this post, don’ t forget to give my blog a follow if you did.
