Whoa, New Year’s Eve, where has 2017 gone! Looking back on it is one of my favourite things to do this year and I have had some wonderful moments. I have made some great friends and taken part in some brilliant activities. My blog has stressed me out but also has given me a capsule to really work out what I want out of life. The moments I mention in this post are just times that I have really treasured this year and enjoyed being a part of.
I was very gratefully invited to be backstage at the Palmer Harding Show at London Fashion Week this year and it was the first moment this year where I truly felt like a professional blogger. I had an amazing time watching the models get ready and talking make up with the lead make up artists.
One of the things that my blog forced me to do was to do more and take part in events around London. The Magical Lantern Festival was such a wonderful event for me and I had a great visiting the festival and seeing all the installations.
I was honoured to be invited to meet Amelia Liana at YSL Beauty this year, she was amazing and this was one of the most luxurious beauty events I have ever attended. The set up, the macaroons and the company was all amazing and honestly marked a turning point for me in terms of my blog. I wanted to do better.
One of the best things that have happened to me is meeting Vix and Jess, two of my fellow bloggers who honestly made this year so enjoyable. We all became determined to cheer each other on and push to make our blogs the best they could possibly be. We attended events together, talked for hours about blogging and we continue to plan to attend events together in the future.
Some of my favourite photos that I have taken this year have been these at the Mayfield Lavender Fields. They were so beautiful and I felt like a flower child, frolicking through the fields and just enjoying a simple day outdoors.
I have literally consumed my weight in afternoon teas this year and I have loved sampling every single one. As I celebrated a big birthday this year, some of my friends took me to have tea at the Ritz and my lovely husband took to me to Sketch for my actual birthday day. I loved all of them and I can’t wait to eat my way through them next year.
I hope you enjoyed this look back at some of my favourite blogger moments for 2017 and I can’t wait to share my 2018 with all of you,
