Glossier have FINALLY come to the UK and I am so excited. Glossier is all that should be good about all beauty brands – they are an ethical brand (cruelty free) which places skincare before make up. Here me out here, Glossier is a US brand that has been loved out there by bloggers and youtubers. I came across this brand from Anna at The Anna Edit and Lily from Lily Pebbles who fell in love with Glossier and would not stop waxing lyrical about it. I love Anna and Lily and their ‘no make-up, make up’ look is one that I try to emulate everyday. Glossier coming to the UK is fantastic news, we will finally be able to get our hands on their products without paying extortionate shipping charges.
I was lucky enough to be invited to the Glossier launch event in the UK earlier this year, you can read all about that here. They also gave me some samples to try out so check out my reviews of the couple of products that I tried out and also my list of things I want to try next!
I don’t think I have come across a cleanser that has been more talked about online than the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser. It is a low pH no foaming cleanser so that was something that I had to get over as I am used to using foaming products, they just help me feel more clean. I used as a post clean, so I would remove my make up with micellar water and then use this on wet skin as a deep cleanse everyday. It helped my skin feel so clean and also refreshed at the end of a long day. I would definitely repurchase this, well worth the price!
I was really excited to try their Priming Moisturiser as you can use it on its own or underneath foundation. It is a two in one product so plus points whilst travelling and also promised to create a glowy base. I didn’t this during the summer because my skin becomes crazy oily during those months. However I have been using this in these transitional months in UK as we move into Autumn. Oh my god, so my skin has never felt so hydrated. It feels instantly hydrated and really helps with the crazy combination skin I seem to develop this time of year.
I really wanted to like the Haloscope. I am not a massive fan of highlighters so it is not something that I would wear everyday. However, I wanted to give Haloscope a chance so I used it on a daily basis to see if it could give me the subtle glow it promised. When I first applied it, it created a nice subtle glow but a couple of hours of wear in, it just disappeared. Maybe it is my oily skin at work but this has not worked for me.
I really want to get my hands on the following:
- Cloud Paint duo – products that you can mix to create your own subtle blush, sign me up!
- Wowder – as a suffer of oily skin, I would love to try some of this as it promises a flawless finish.
- Perfecting Skin Tint – lightweight foundation, yay!
- Body Hero Duo – I have heard a lot about their shower products so really want to try these.
Glossier is a fantastic brand and definitely one to try out, let me know what you will be buying below and don’t forget to follow my blog!
