Rimmel London have always a favourite when it comes to being a high street beauty brand. Rimmel have the formula right when it comes to releasing new products, they know what to make for a waiting audience. I have never used the Rimmel foundation until the kind team over at Influenster sent me their Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation, Lasting Finish Breathable Concealer and the Rimmel London Sculpting palette by Kate.
Rimmel’s Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation promised to be a long wearing foundation with light to medium coverage. The foundation was meant to provide 24 hour hydration and coverage so it did seem to sound like a miracle to me. The foundation comes in a glass bottle with a doe foot application which I think is incredibly unique. It gives greater control over the foundation and that makes it great for coverage. I wore a primer underneath before applying the foundation, it went on smoothly and I didn’t need a lot to cover my whole face.
It really felt very light on the skin and definitely is buildable, I only used one layer. The finish was dewy, something that I am not usually fond of but it gave a subtle glow that I liked. Does it really give 24 hour coverage? Not really and as my skin is oily, it did start to wear around my nose and forehead. It is a lovely foundation, one I would definitely use it in the warmer months.
Rimmel London’s Lasting Finish Concealer is in a squeezy tube with a circular sponge applicator. It was meant to provide long lasting breathable medium coverage. I used this on my under eyes and to disguise imperfections. It was a bit dark for my skin but with my colour corrector underneath, it seemed to lighten in tone. It was a thin formula and easy to blend on. I tapped it on with my fingers rather than using the applicator. I am not a big fan of this concealer, it didn’t wear and started to cake under my eyes only a few hours in.
I was sent the Rimmel London Sculpting Palette to review and it is not the first time for me trying the product. The palette is not a new invention with many brands already doing this but what I really like is the bronzer. I love using the contour powder as a bronzer as it gives a subtle glow and compliments the blusher in this palette really well.
Here is my finished Rimmel look:
