Since the last couple of years, Burberry has had the Maker’s House in Tottenham Court Road showcasing their catwalk collection immediately after their show. I love it because I get to see their collection and looks in the fresh and I always find it inspiring to see. New season and it is all change at Burberry house with them moving over to the Old Sessions House, an old courthouse in Clerkenwell. This year their catwalk collection was accompanied by a British photography exhibition curated by their chief Christopher Bailey called ‘Here We Are’. The show accumulates photographers from the 20th century with the likes of Shirley Baker, Ken Russell and Alasdair McLellan.
The courthouse is truly beautiful and takes centre stage in their exhibition, old, regal and very British, a perfect accompaniment to the heritage authenticity of Burberry. This year, Burberry’s collection is taking a step away from the traditional and moving to pastel colours, embellished t-shirts and quirky teddy coats and brightly coloured raincoats.
I had a great time at the exhibition, visiting the house of Burberry and being engulfed into the fashion world. I hope you enjoyed this post, don’t forget to follow my blog if you did,
