I had the funniest experience at Urban Decay this week. Thursday was the launch date for the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette and I was invited to a trial session of the palette with a complimentary makeover. However when I arrived, I found out that none of the Urban Decay stores in the UK had been given any testers so the store assistants suggested that I try out another palette instead.
I have had the Naked Smoky palette for such a long time but I have alway been afraid of trying it out because the colours are so strong. Eloise Mae, one of the store’s make up artists did the look on me. She suggested that I use the lighter colours first and then build up with the darker colours. One tip that really impressed me was using a bit of their De-slick spray on the eyeshadow brush before applying shimmer based eyeshadows. They go on a lot stronger on the eye and you don’t have to use so much!
I truly loved my finished look, it was sultry and yet had some definition too. I also tried out one of their Vice Lipsticks in Hex which is this gorgeous rusty red colour and it helped make my eyes pop.
I had a great time at Urban Decay getting my mini makeover. I really hope they do more Naked Heat palette events as I do want to see it in practice. I have mine on order coming from Fabled so I cannot wait to get my hands on it!
I hope you enjoyed this post, don’t forget to give it a like or my blog a follow if you did,
