I was invited to The Body Shop pamper event this week and i thought i would share this with you guys and tell you all about what i got upto. The Body Shop are great in the way they interact with their customers and this is now my second event with them. I have their points card so every so I often get invited to their store events where they close off the store exclusively for you. This pamper evening was held at their store in Oxford Street, one of my favourites in London.
One of the great things about these events is the fact the whole store has everything available as testers to swatch and you can do this at your own leisure without feeling the pressure to buy. I usually test out all their new launches at these events and the store’s team are also on hand to test out the products on you or explain how they can be used.
As part of the evening, the team were offering hand massages, makeovers and one to one skin consultations. I never got around to getting the hand massage and makeover but i spoke extensively to this lovely girl (i have forgotten her name!) who gave me a very in depth skin consultation and showed me how to use the products too.
My skin is going through a change of sorts and with me using Roaccutane for my acne, it has become rather dry and has some really mixed days where sometimes it can be very oily and other times, drier than the desert. I was recommended using one of their face peels, Drops of Light Pure Resurfacing Liquid Face Peel which is something i would not have usually considered otherwise as i am a hardcore exfoliator fan. The liquid peel does feel a bit strange to apply as you do feel as though you are not applying anything but it gives a great finish once you wash the cleanser off. I also tried the Camomile Cleansing Butter , it is a great dupe for the Clinique cleansing balm and a quarter of the price. The butter applies on like a cleansing oil and takes off all your make up in one sweep, leaving the skin underneath feeling clean and fresh.
I really love The Body Shop’s matte liquid lip range, it contains some of the most hydrating and affordable lipsticks on the market and they have great staying power too.
I want to say a huge thank you to The Body Shop team at the Oxford Street branch. They were so lovely and helpful and really made us feel welcome. I am going to be doing a video on my Body Shop favourites but in the meantime, please do like this post or give my blog a follow if you did.
