If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know how obsessive i am about skincare. Years of acne means that i have to be on top of my skincare routine all the time but i do have to constantly change it up to ensure that my skin doesn’t become resistant to the products i use. I love Garnier’s micellar water and as i was going buy some more, i came across Garnier’s latest addition. The first thing i loved about this range was the fact that it was pink and it incorporated rose water. i have been using rose water as a toner for years and have found that it really helps with blemishes and redness on the skin.
The cleansing milk is Garnier’s first product of its kind and is made with 96% natural ingredients which is written on the bottle (as it is with all of this range). Enriched with rose water, the first thing that hits you about the product is how soft and soothing it is on the skin. I clear my skin with micellar water and i then follow with the cleansing milk that i massage onto my face. It removes all traces of make up and even though i then go onto cleansing my skin with facial wash, this milk does work beautifully.
As mentioned that i have been using pure rose water as toner on my face since a number of years. I usually spray it on my face as a refreshing mist and then dab off the excess with cotton wool. I pored this toner onto a cotton pad and then smoothed it all over my cleansed face. It instantly hydrated my skin leaving it feeling supple and fresh.
The last step of my skincare routine is moisturising and this is completely dependent on how my skin is doing that day. If it isn’t feeling dry or dehydrated, i often apply The Body Shop’s Drops of Light Essence Lotion . However when my skin is feeling dry or if i have been wearing a lot of make up then i like to use a heavier moisturiser to get my skin back to normal. This day moisturiser smells lovely and has a light texture which is great to use underneath your primer to bring your skin back to life.
I hope you enjoyed this post, don’t forget to give it a like or my blog a follow if you did,
