I should say before i even write this post that none of these photos are mine… right now i got that out of the way, how amazing has the Cannes Film Festival been this year. The fashion looks coming from the red carpet everyday have truly been outstanding and i applaud one of my favourite designers Elie Saab for dressing the ladies at the festival so beautifully. There is just something about the cut and the style of Elie Saab clothing which has always had me hooked. Anyway enough about my obsession with Elie Saab, here are my favourite looks from this year’s Cannes Film Festival..

Sonam Kapoor in Ralph & Russo

The cobalt blue was a nice shock for the system and it made a difference from the rather girly neutral pastel colours she often sticks to. Some people may find the style of this dress and little offputting but i loved how dramatic it was on the red carpet and her hair. Do not get me started on how much i love this girl’s hair. It is beautiful, she always keeps it simple with large curls or slick straight but it is ravishing, so silky and healthy. #hairgoals all the way.

Kendall Jenner in Calvin Klein

For the moment let’s just forget that Kendall Jenner is probably the most privileged teen around and just focus on her style and fashion. She is the one to watch in the future, from simply the luck of the draw when it comes to genes, Kendall is beautiful. She has all the classic supermodel features with the chiselled cheekbones and her ridiculously long legs and this benefits her massively. I loved this dress the instant i saw it and she wears it with a sense of playful elegance. Her hair and make up was kept simple and her dress did all the talking – river of purple certainly did. I loved the long train on the skirt and the way it swirls around her.

Kendall Jenner by Azzedine Alaïa

This was the first outfit she showcased at Cannes, it is not by any means my favourite but i liked the simplicity of it. It was a fresh take on old school Hollywood glamour with the red lip and bun and then an almost casual outfit with the crop top and the maxi skirt to set it all off. Due to the fact that Kendall is so tall, her height worked to her advantage and the baggy maxi skirt looked perfect on her.

Aishwarya Rai in Oscar De La Renta

Aishwarya’s look for Cannes this year has been rather disappointing from my point of view. She has taken a more mature take on her outfits and frankly some of them have been either too much or rather boring in my opinion. This dress by Oscar De La Renta made me smile, she looked stunning in this and the maroon complimented her hair and skin so well. I loved the idea of matching her lip colour to her dress and she looked beautiful.

And a couple more to mention…

I loved all of these ladies too in their exquisite dresses, they would look amazing considering they are supermodels. I loved Jourdan Dunn’s dress, the midnight blue is such a rich colour and she compliments it well, with her hair and make up kept very dark and mysterious. Karlie Kloss looks like a goddess in most outfits and this was no different, a sparkly dress which made her look like an angel.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and give me a follow if you did 🙂
